Ready to Visit ?
The Lumberton Historical Museum will tell the stories of the people who tamed the Big Thicket and helped grow the town of Lumberton.
As you explore the Museum, you’ll find easy-to-use audio boxes and companion guides along your path to help bring our local history to life.

Join us as we learn about the frontiersmen and early settlers, who came to the area, from Pine Island Bayou on the south end, and Village Creek to the north, that grew into today's community of Lumberton.
The museum offers exhibits and educational opportunities for children and adults about the history and culture of our community and this place we call home.

Our "Passport" project, sponsored by Main Street Veterinary Clinic, helps children identify the many animals in our area, both from the past and today.

The Museum has free general admission and is supported by donations, memberships and grants.
We are a registered 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. EIN: 833251617
